This is a previous customer's bath that needed a quick fix up due to an emergency plumbing repair. This is a great old house in Camp Washington that overall is in great shape. It has a really nice kitchen that we installed a few years ago.
The plumbing repair caused damage to the outside wall in the second floor bath. The old wainscot was a tile pattern paneling that was damaged in the plumbing repair. We ended up replacing all of the wainscot paneling with ceramic tile. The old tile floor and plumbing wall were also tiled - upgrading the whole room.
There was damage to the wallpaper above the wainscot paneling. The customer liked the paper and preferred to keep it. So shadow boxes were constructed, painted to match the wallpaper, and installed on each side of the window. The room looks complete, the wallpaper was saved and the shadow boxes look great.
